TSA Checkpoint 2 Opened Monday

TSA Checkpoint 2 at Charlotte Douglas International Airport opened Monday, March 24, for limited screenings. It will fully open Wednesday, March 26, and Checkpoint A will close permanently next week.
Checkpoint 2 will primarily serve TSA PreCheck passengers and flight crews, according to WCCB. The launch is part of the airport’s plan to consolidate five lettered checkpoints into three numerical ones, adding more screening lanes. TSA expects the additional lanes will allow it to process 600 more passengers per hour.
