Second Charlotte Flight in Two Days Safely Diverts Back

Delta Air Lines flight 3067 safely returned to Charlotte Douglas International Airport on Thursday after reporting a potential mechanical issue shortly after takeoff. The flight, which had left Charlotte at 10:15 a.m. for Atlanta, circled back toward the airport and landed at 10:45 a.m. after briefly flying over York County.
This follows a similar incident on Tuesday, when American Airlines flight 1216, bound for West Palm Beach, Florida, was forced to return to Charlotte after flying about 150 miles and reaching Barnwell, South Carolina. That flight landed safely around 3:10 p.m.
