Aftermath of Tropical Storm Debby and heavy rain in Charlotte

Heavy rain and the possibility of thunder are expected to move into the Charlotte area Friday evening, according to WBTV.

Friday will be breezy and unseasonably warm, with overcast skies throughout the day. While much of the day will remain dry, rain is expected to begin in the mountains early in the afternoon before moving eastward. The rain band is forecast to reach Charlotte around 5 p.m., with some rumbles of thunder possible during the evening.

A First Alert has been issued for Friday, as the rain will intensify late in the day, tapering off by late evening. The weekend weather is expected to improve, with dry conditions and mild temperatures on Saturday, with highs in the mid-60s. Sunday will see slightly cooler temperatures and more cloud cover, but overall, the weekend looks pleasant.
