Terry Rozier is under investigation as part of a probe into illegal gambling and whether he intentionally manipulated his performance during a game while with the Charlotte Hornets. The United States Attorney’s Office is looking into Rozier’s actions during a March 23, 2023, game against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Rozier, who now plays for the Miami Heat, played 9 1/2 minutes of the game before leaving with an injury. He finished with five points, four rebounds, and two assists. The Hornets went on to finish the season without him, as he was sidelined for the remaining eight games.
According to The Charlotte Observer, Rozier has not been accused of any wrongdoing and has not been charged with a crime. The Hornets referred all inquiries to the NBA, which also investigated the matter.
