The Atlantic Coast Conference Championship game is set, with Clemson and Southern Methodist University (SMU) heading to Charlotte to battle for the title. The game will take place on Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. Eastern at Bank of America Stadium.

Clemson (9-3, 7-1 ACC), ranked No. 12 nationally, secured their spot after a strong season under head coach Dabo Swinney. The Tigers boast a top-12 offense, averaging 35.7 points per game, and will aim for their 22nd ACC championship title, having won eight previous championships since the game’s inception in 2005.

SMU (11-1, 8-0 ACC), ranked No. 9, punched their ticket to the championship after a dominant 33-7 victory at Virginia and a 38-6 win over California. Under head coach Rhett Lashlee, the Mustangs feature the nation’s sixth-best offense and a top-10 defense, ranked second in defensive touchdowns and ninth in interceptions.

The game will mark the 20th ACC Championship, with both teams looking to add another historic title to their resumes.
