Charlotte Douglas International Airport expects a record-breaking 423,000 passengers to pass through TSA during this Thanksgiving holiday, a 7% increase from last year.

To accommodate the surge, TSA will open 17 screening lanes, though longer wait times are expected during peak hours. According to WCCB, the busiest days will be Friday, Nov. 22, Wednesday, Nov. 27, Sunday, Dec. 1, and Monday, Dec. 2, with more than 90,000 departing passengers each day. Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early to navigate the increased traffic.

Passengers are advised to arrive at least two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international flights to avoid delays.
