As autumn settles in, cooler temperatures are starting to arrive in the Charlotte Metro area.
Daniel Ellis, a lead master technician with AAA, shared tips for winter car care in a recent interview with WBTV. With 20 years of experience, Ellis explained that the most common weather-related issues in the region involve freezing components, particularly batteries and radiators, which can crack from frozen coolant. He also warned that higher elevations may experience even harsher freezing conditions. According to WBTV, Ellis emphasized the importance of checking fluid levels to ensure proper freezing protection and performing routine inspections on tires and wiper blades for safe driving.
