Spectrum Center Done With Phase One of Renovations

The Spectrum Center is set to reopen to the public after four months of renovations. This marks the start of 45 events in 90 days, including the Charlotte Hornets’ 2024-25 season. The arena, which closed in May, saw 680 workers contribute 250,000 hours to complete the upgrades before the first concert, featuring Maxwell, this past Thursday, Oct. 3. This closure was the longest for the venue since the COVID pandemic, according to CLT Today. There is still another renovation phase that will take place. The next phase will begin May 2025.
