A Duke Energy worker was tragically killed by electrocution Wednesday afternoon in northwest Charlotte. According to WBTV, the incident occurred around 2:35 p.m. on Wandering Creek Drive, where emergency responders arrived to find the worker deceased. The circumstances leading to the accident are under investigation.

“Our hearts go out to our teammate’s family and fellow coworkers,” Duke Energy said in a statement. “We are currently investigating the incident to learn more and ask for privacy for the family at this time.”
