Former NASCAR champion Kurt Busch was arrested for DWI in Iredell County on Tuesday night, according to WBTV.

The incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. on August 13, when troopers were called to assist with a traffic stop at Brawley School Rd. and Chuckwood Rd. Busch was initially stopped for speeding—63 mph in a 45 mph zone—and reckless driving, with officers suspecting impairment. A roadside sobriety test indicated he was impaired by alcohol. Busch was arrested and taken to Iredell County Jail, where a breath test revealed a .17 BAC. He has been issued a written promise to appear in court.
